Costa Brava Spain - The "Wild" Coast And Forgotten Paradise

Costa Brava Spain - easy to get to via budget flights such as Ryanair to Girona, enviable weather throughout the year, family friendly resorts, spectacular coastline - just a few of the modern reasons to visit.

Fifty years ago, the Costa Brava gained an enviable reputation as one of the Mediterranean's glamour spots. Forget Monte Carlo, the new "in place" to stay was Costa Brava Spain.

Chic Hollywood film stars, daring and innovative artists, along with the advent of the package holiday-maker all descended upon the picturesque coastline of Catalonia. A hedonistic pleasure palace set amongst the staggering beauty of inlets and coves that make up the landscape.

Why not discover for yourself why this Spanish Costa is still one of the world's favourite venues?

As the package holiday gathered momentum through the '70's and 80's, moving onto other Costas, so the Costa Brava regained much of its tranquility and peace. They left behind the light and colour that typifies the steep rocky coastline; white sandy beaches and inland beauty; the energy and razzmatazz of the fiestas and carnivals and the warm, friendly people.

Because of the rugged cliffs fringing the coastline, the area has been protected in the main from the concrete jungle engulfing many of the other costas, so ensuring that the essential “Spanish-ness” has remained.

Quaint fishing villages cling to terracotta-red rock faces, white-washed villas perch beside sandy bays; tiny promenades surrounded by cafes spilling their tables and chairs out under large brollies set to guard against the midday sun; and inland, vivid emerald green golf courses nestle in the lee of the snow capped Pyrenees mountains.

Why not stay awhile in this villa for rent, soak up the sun and atmosphere in this peaceful setting?
